These are dur’s Quake III Arena statistics as of 2002.12.08. Most of them were earned on hardcore level and most were earned in Q3DM17.

Here are the results from a particularly good game. Notice the ridiculously high and lucky 78% accuracy, which coupled nicely with the Perfect medal on the right. When you’re only using the railgun in pursuit of an
accuracy score, you also get a lot of Excellents and a few Impressives.

Next up is a picture of nine guantlet kills in one hardcore match. I didn’t end up winning this one because Sorlag went crazy with the rail gun at the end.

On the way to that list of guantlet kills, I managed to steal the quad twice using only the guantlet. Once, Major kept trying to use the railgun from the camping platform and I got her in midair.

OK, that’s just about it with the guantlets, but here’s just one more. I tried on Hardcore to just get gauntlet kills. Unfortunately, it’s almost impossible to win like this because you do get ‘suicided’ quite a bit, by being thrown around by close-range rockets. However, I managed to amass 12 of them the second time I tried (the first time I got 9).

I didn’t win the match; in fact I had fewer points than guantlets. I’m using this screenshot because at least it’s an action pose instead of the pedestal with the final awards because I didn’t even make the pedestal; I stayed in fourth place :-).

In my defense, I did get an Excellent at one point when I got about 4 guantlets in a row with a Quad.

This one’s a little harder to see, but here’s the best beating I’m capable of administering in Hardcore mode. They barely got off the starting line.

I know I already have similar stats up here, but those were being extremely railgun-oriented. I got these stats using mostly the shotgun and rocket launcher (most of the double-hits with the rail weren’t kills). I hung around on the platforms near the rocket launchers and swiped the rail when I could. The level can be quite well-managed from there and I didn’t get killed and, suprisingly, got an accuracy award even though I was using the rocket a lot.
