- Career
I have over 25 years of experience as a professional software developer, systems architect and technical project manager. I’m interested in high-quality solutions to tough problems. I co-founded Encodo Systems AG almost 15 years ago.
My focus has always been on generalization and DRY using metadata and common libraries. I’ve written five frameworks over the years:
- Quino (C#/.NET, 2007–2021)
- MAP (Swift/Java/TypeScript, 2016–2021)
- WebCore (PHP, 2000–present)
- Test Engine (C++/MFC, 1995–2001)
- Atlas2 (Delphi Pascal, 2002-2005)
This site runs on WebCore and Quino is the engine behind many Encodo products.
- Content
In addition to the links above, I’ve also got content online in the following places:
- All Blog Articles
- All Photo Albums
- Papers, Notes, Research & Manuals
- Instapaper (Likes, Archive)
- IMDb (ratings, watchlist)
- Fitness
- Twitter[1]
- Garmin Connect[2]
- Strava[3]
- Quizzes
For various reasons, these two quizzes (well, mainly one of them) have been the most popular hits on my site.
- Bush’s First Year (2001)
- Real or Fake? (2002, NSFW)
- Links
- Old Links (e.g. Old Man Murray, SeanBaby, SomethingAwful)
[1] My Twitter feed is almost 100% automatically generated from my blog posts and my Instapaper likes.↩
[2] No link because Garmin don’t allow browsing activities, only linking to specific ones that are public.↩
[3] Same as Garmin, unfortunately.↩
